We are experiencing sustained growth and are seeking an experienced PM who can contribute to this trend.
The self-directed Project Manager must have basic knowledge of the mechanical construction business, including estimating, scheduling and cost control, general knowledge of code requirements, ability to read blue-prints, budget preparation, negotiation skills, time management, computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ability to adapt to construction software.
The successful candidate will have earned a Bachelor Degree in mechanical engineering or construction management and/or the equivalent of well-rounded, mechanical construction experience with a minimum five (5) years as a Project Manager who has worked on large scale projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive knowledge of piping systems
- Provide office and on-site administrative and technical management
- Develop goals and strategies with executive management team and implement with your construction teams
- Establish project objectives and strategies, policies, procedures and performance standards with executive management
- Set-up a workable schedule for job cost control, labor, material, equipment and subcontractors
- Set-up a pre-planning meeting with field superintendent, estimators, purchasing, engineer, foreman, and detailing
- Work with Purchasing on all equipment and material buyout
- Work with Project Team to ensure job drawings and change orders are up to date
- Manage financial aspects of the contract. These include but are not limited to: financial forecasting, manpower forecasting, job cost tracking, preparing monthly billings, etc
- Meet or exceed gross profit goals stated in project budget
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients in an effort to get additional work and build a repeat customer base while maintaining the reputation of our company
- Maintain list of lessons learned to be utilized on future projects
- Maintain targeted safety incident rate
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, labor, vendors and subcontractors
- Resourceful and aggressive in providing high-quality results
- Well-organized and able to meet deadlines and budgets
